Billionaire businessman arrested in France as part of the 2024 crack down on free speech

Pavel Valeryevich Durov is a billionaire software developer and entrepreneur, best known for being the founder of the social networking site VK and the communication app Telegram.

Arrest

Pavel Durov was arrested in France as part of the 2024 crack down on free speech. "A source" stated that "On his platform, he allowed an incalculable number of offences and crimes to be committed, for which he did nothing to moderate or cooperate."[1]

Lobbying for control

On 25 August 2024, Megatron posted on X:

The CIA and Mossad in France will now try to get the keys from Durov and access all the multiple personal data of Telegram users.
That way they will take full control of this application, which along with TikTok was the only one not under the control of the Jewish lobby.
They failed to take over TikTok thanks to China, but they managed to ban it in the US, and probably Europe will follow, after the Jewish lobby complained that there was too much "anti-Semitism".
They will take over Telegram using terrorist and blackmail methods by kidnapping the owner.[2]

Twelve charges

12 charges against Pavel Durov

On 26 August 2024, Wikileaks posted:

12 charges against Telegram CEO Pavel Durov include "providing cryptology services aiming to ensure confidentiality without certified declaration" and six counts of "complicity" with alleged criminal activity by Telegram users.[3]

Craig Murray added:

This is precisely the same as holding the postman responsible for the content of letters he delivers. Utterly surreal.[4]

A Quote by Pavel Durov

Backdoor“Every year, we learn about some issue in WhatsApp that puts everything on their users' devices at risk. Which means it's almost certain that a new security flaw already exists there. Such issues are hardly incidental – they are planted backdoors. If one backdoor is discovered and has to be removed, another one is added”5 October 2022
