JFK Assassination
John Connally was seriously wounded while riding in John F. Kennedy's car at Dealey Plaza in Dallas when the president was assassinated. He recovered from wounds in his chest, wrist and thigh and refused to accept the government's 'single bullet' official narrative of the event.
In early 1976, three months before the Italian election, he was a panellist for a Center for Strategic and International Studies conference on the 'Communist threat' to Italy. Other panellists included William E. Colby, Ray Cline, Clare Booth Luce and Claire Sterling.
