He graduated from Tallinn 1st Secondary School in 1985. In 1993, he graduated from Tallinn University of Technology with a degree in construction economics and management.

Career

In 1991, Neivelt joined Hansabank, where he was invited by its founder Rain Lõhmus, initially as the head of the loan department. In 1994–1995 he was a member of the Management Board of Hansabank, in 1999–2005 he was the Chairman of the Management Board.

After the full takeover of Hansabank by Swedbank, Neivelt left Hansabank. At the time of the takeover of Hansabank, he was one of the bank's largest private shareholders.

From 2005 to 2014, he was the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the Russian privately owned bank Kvest Bank, later Bank Saint Petersburg. In 2016, together with several technology specialists, he founded the financial technology company Pocopay.
