Dr John Pombe Magufuli holds a PhD in Chemistry and is the president of Tanzania. He was criticised by commercially-controlled media after questioning the WHO's narrative about COVID-19.[1]

Background

Magufuli earned his bachelor of science in education degree majoring in chemistry and mathematics as teaching subjects from The University of Dar es Salaam in 1988. He also earned his masters and PhD (doctorate) degrees in chemistry from The University of Dar es Salaam, in 1994 and 2009, respectively.

Activities

Zero Hedge reported that Magufuli sent the WHO a variety of non-human samples for COVID testing.[1] The samples of a goat, a papaya and a quail to be tested for COVID-19. All 3 were judged to carry the virus.[2]

Magufuli was a "close friend" of Pierre Nkurunziza, who also refused to order a lockdown in response to COVID-19.[3]
