Career
After the School of the Military Intelligence Service in Harderwijk, Idenberg studied Law at Leiden University, Business Administration in France (INSEAD MBA) and obtained a PhD degree in Utrecht.
He was an attorney at Gibson & Hyland in Los Angeles (1968-69), was employed by the European Commission and worked in international companies. He especially was involved for many decades for the Van Leer packaging multinational, including a 3-year sting as General Manager in Colombia (1980-83).
Between 1970-72, the time of his Bilderberg participation, he was Administrator in the Commission of the European Communities, Directorate-General Internal Market (responsible for harmonization of the internal market in the field of banking and insurance.
Later he served as a Director General within the Dutch Ministry of Industry.
Later in his career, Idenberg was a professor and dean at the University of Twente and Delft University of Technology. He received his licensed coach diploma from the MMS institute and completed the Coaching and Consulting for Change course at INSEAD in 2006.[2]
