Donald Eugene Siegelman is a former American politician, lawyer and convicted felon who was the 51st governor of Alabama from 1999 to 2003.
In 2006 Siegelman was convicted on federal felony corruption charges and sentenced to seven years in federal prison, in a politically motivated trial.[1]
