Ealry Life

Son of a customs official, he was Inspector General of Finance, Director General of Finance in Morocco, Secretary of State for Finance of the government of Algiers from 1942 to 1943, alongside General Giraud[1], then Director of the Treasury from 1946 to 1947 and president of the BNCI.

He was General councilor of the canton of Embrun in the department of Hautes-Alpes from 1951 to 1968. He was president of the Hautes-Alpes general council from 1960 to 1968 and socialist senator of Hautes-Alpes from 1957 to 1968.
