John Leslie Prescott, Baron Prescott was a British Labour Party politician who was Member of Parliament for Hull East from 1970 to 2010.
Prescott was Deputy Leader of the Labour Party from 1994 to 2001 and Deputy Prime Minister of the UK from 1997 to 2007.[1]
He was awarded a peerage in the dissolution honours list on 28 May 2010.[2]
