The United States Ambassador to Jamaica is the highest diplomatic representative of the United States in the Caribbean state of Jamaica.
History
The U.S. Embassy is located in Jamaica's capital, Kingston, and was established there on August 16, 1962.
In 1980, the CIA executed a regime change in Jamaica, unseating Michael Manley and installed Edward Seaga.
Jamaica is a major transit point for cocaine en route to the United States and is also a key source of marijuana and marijuana derivative products for the Americas.[1]
