Amy E. Walter[1] is an American political analyst who is the editor and publisher of The Cook Political Report[2] and a host of The Takeaway.[3] From July 2010, she was the political director of ABC News, based in Washington, DC,[4] as which she attended the 2017 Bilderberg meeting.

Education

Walter graduated summa cum laude from Colby College and sits on its board of trustees.

Career

Walter began working at The Cook Political Report in 1997. Between then and 2007 she was a senior editor covering the United States House of Representatives.[2] She has also was made Editor-in-Chief at the National Journal's The Hotline.[5]

Walter's work has been featured in The Washington Post, The Wall Street Journal, and The New York Times. She has also been featured on numerous broadcasts, most recently Washington Week, Face the Nation, PBS Newshour, Fox News Sunday with Chris Wallace, Andrea Mitchell Reports, the Daily Rundown, the Chris Matthews Show, and Meet the Press.[6] She has also made numerous appearances on Special Report with Brett Baier, both as a contributor and on the panel.
