Major Nureddin Fuat Alpkartal was a Turkish officer and politician with strong ties to the Turkish intelligence community.[1] He was a Military Attaché in the Embassy in Washington in 1947. It is unknown if he participated in the 1960 Turkish coup d'état or had ties to the Counter-Guerrilla, the Turkish branch of NATO's stay behind forces.
