Didier Tauzin is a retired French general. He is known for his participation in the war in Rwanda and for his disputing the official narrative about it.
Activities
In May 2016, he announced his candidacy for the presidential election of 2017[1], but failed to obtain the necessary 500 sponsorships from mayors. He said he at first received support from senators with political clout, but that this backing was withdrawn because he was offered, but refused to join a secret society.[2]
On December 6, 2018, while Emmanuel Macron was facing the Yellow Vests crisis, he threatened on his Facebook account "We are some generals quite willing to come and teach you how to do politics. Possibly to take your place if you want to leave, which, I think, you will do soon".[3]
