Dana Visalli is a biologist living in Washington State. As director of the Methow Biodiversity Project, he coordinates a biological inventory of the Methow River watershed.
He has visited Iraq and Afghanistan often and visited Syria in the Spring of 2016. He has published a number of essays on Iraq, Afghanistan and Vietnam on his website The Methow Naturalist
