DescriptionIn 2022, these members of the Bundestag voted to make Covid jabs mandatory in Germany, to be enforced with punitive fines. The proposal failed.

In March 2022, a number of German parliamentarians proposed a law to make Covid jabs mandatory in the country, starting with everybody over 60 years of age, and rapidly expanding it to all people over 18 years of age, to be enforced with punitive fines.[1]

Various initiatives on the subject of mandatory corona vaccination failed in the German Bundestag on Thursday, April 7, 2022. The Members of Parliament voted by roll call on all the proposals, which provided for mandatory vaccination from the age of 60 as of October 15, 2022. 296 Members of the Bundestag voted in a roll-call vote for the merged bill, 378 parliamentarians voted against it. Nine members abstained. Thus, the draft compromise was rejected.[2]
