Iranian-born French labor union leader and civil servant who attended Bilderberg/2012, where one of the topics was "What Can the West Do about Iran?".

Dr Anousheh Karvar is an Iranian-born French labor union leader and civil servant.[1][2] She attended the 2012 Bilderberg meeting, where one of the topics was "What Can the West Do about Iran?".

Education

She holds a doctorate in the history of science and sociology from Paris Diderot University and Ecole polytechnique.[3]

Career

She started as an associate researcher at the National center for scientific research [CNRS] in 1991.

From 2001 until 2012,she was national secretary, treasurer and member of the executive committee of the union French Democratic Confederation of Labour (CFDT).[3]

Subsequently, she was head of the history and sociology of science department/fundamental sciences at the National Library of France, deputy director of the cabinet of Myriam El Khomri (Minister of Labor) and adviser on social, territorial and overseas cohesion to the President of the National Assembly.[4]

From 2018 until 2023 she had was Government Delegate to the International Labour Organization and leader of thee Alliance 8.7, a Global Partnership against child labour/forced labour.[3]

In 2023, Karvar was appointed Inspector general of social affairs.[4]
