Dr. Shiraz Maher is a UK writer and commentator on "radicalisation". He opined in March 2020 that COVID-19 was "a completely mad, crazy illness. It has made me feel more intensely ill than I've ever been in my life."[1]

Career

Maher was director of the International Centre for the Study of Radicalisation at King's College.

COVID-19

In March 2020, Maher was the subject of an article entitled Infected man’s horrifying experience of COVID-19 is the scariest you’ll read. It continued " A terrorism expert who developed a “completely mad” case of COVID-19 despite having no underlying conditions has described just how bad the disease can get."[1]
