Dutch cabinet minister who was sacked by Mark Rutte after criticising COVID-19 vaccine passports

Dutch Minister Mona Keijzer was sacked by Mark Rutte in September 2021 after suggesting that the country’s vaccine passport scheme was “illogical” and the Netherlands should “go back to the old normal.”[1] Removal from cabinet in Holland is highly unusual, as the last occurrence was in 1975 and it set a record for "Rutte 3" having lost 11 ministers.[2]. The media reports suggested she refused to resign.[3]

Fraud?

Keijzer was part of the fraction in the CDA party who supported MP Pieter Omtzigt in the leadership election and argued that the party had failed to investigate serious signs of an "unfair election" process, which also included allegations of election fraud.[4]

BBB

In 2023, Keijzer joined the Farmer-Citizen Movement, a party launched during the 2022 Dutch farmer protest as Presidential candidate, the party won the national senate race, but only became 6th in the representatives their general parliamentary election.[5]
