Activities
In 1958 he opposed Guy Mollet and voted, like the majority of Socialist parliamentarians, against De Gaulle's inauguration. He also refused Mollet's proposal to resign from the leadership of the party.
Death
Commin died suddenly, reportedly of a heart attack, in June 1958.
