Career
In 1950 George de Mohrenschildt launched Hooker and de Mohrenschildt, together with Eddie Hooker, a friend and former roommate of George H. W. Bush.[2] He moved to Dallas in 1952, a relatively modest size but fast growing city. Dallas had about 30 Russian emigres at that time, and de Mohrenschildt developed ties with their "godfather", Paul Raigordsky, a friend of J. Edgar Hoover.[2] George Bouhe introduced George de Mohrenschildt to Lee Harvey Oswald.[2] Russ Baker explains that George de Mohrenschildt was Lee Harvey Oswald's handler.[2]
Death
He had been trying to tell what he knew of the JFK assassination to the press shortly before he was found dead. The official narrative states that he committed suicide.
The Warren Commission concluded that "George was essentially an eccentric if well-connected figure whose life encompasseda series of strange coincidences".[3]
