Kirsten Gillibrand is a US politician and a prospective candidate in the US/2020 Presidential election.
Gillibrand dissented from giving a waiver to retired marine general James Mattis, allowing him to be appointed US Secretary of Defense, arguing that the military should be under civilian control.[1]
