Steffen Kragh is a Danish media executive. Since 2001, he has been CEO of Denmark's and the Nordic region's largest media group Egmont. He attended the 2014 Bilderberg meeting.
Education
In 1989 he graduated from Copenhagen Business School, with some studies at New York University, and then also with an MBA degree in 1996.[1]
Career
He began his career with seven years in the finance industry. In 1993, Steffen Kragh joined Egmont, where he was head of some of the group's companies before becoming Group CEO.[1]
In 2023, Egmont's total revenue was almost $18 billion Danish kroner, with eight TV channels including a 24-hour tv news channel. Egmont's growth since 2001 has come partly from the expansion of TV 2 in Norway, book publishers, computer game companies and e-commerce, and partly from the establishment of significant streaming services.[1]
Kragh is active on the board of directors of large Danish companies. He is chairman of the Lundbeck Foundation, which owns a number of life science companies and supports brain research in Denmark. He is deputy chairman of Tryg insurance[2] and was formerly chairman of Nykredit.[1]
