Leena Marjatta Mörttinen is a Finnish economist.[1] She started a five-year term as department head of the Financial Markets Department of the Ministry of Finance on August 1, 2017. Before that, she has worked for Nordea, the European Central Bank and several business advocacy associations.
She attended the 2015 Bilderberg meeting.
Background
Mörttinen is the daughter of former member of parliament Tapani Mörttinen. She lives with her spouse in Kärkölä on the Mörttinen family farm.[1]

Career
Mörttinen worked at the European Central Bank as a senior as an economist 2002–2005, and then as an adviser to the Bank of Finland in 2005.[3]
She worked at Nordea as chief economist for Finland from March 2006.[4], as director responsible for savings and investment from January 2009, and as director responsible for European affairs from September 2009.[5][6]
Mörttinen worked from August 2012 as the director of the competitiveness and growth responsibility area of the Confederation of Finnish Industries. She was CEO of the Association of Family Businesses, an advocacy organization for some of Finland's biggest corporations, from February 2015.[7]
She started a five-year term as department head of the Financial Markets Department of the Ministry of Finance on August 1, 2017.[8]
Mörttinen is a board member of Metsäliitto Cooperative (2016–), State development company Vake (2018–) and the National Theater Foundation (2015–), chairman of the Helsinki University Science Foundation delegation (2016–) and member of the Supervisory Board of the Scouting Foundation (2011–).[9]
