John M. Keane is a retired American four-star general and former Vice Chief of Staff of the United States Army, and a defense analyst.
Career
In retirement, Keane worked as chairman of the board for the Institute for the Study of War.

On 9-11, John Keane did "alarmingly little while the attacks were underway."[1]
