Eric Feigl-Ding worked as chief health economist for Microclinic International. His research has primarily focused on obesity, nutrition and cancer with advocacy focused on those issues and "biosecurity".

In early January 2020, Feigl-Ding warned about COVID-19 and called for "preparedness". His call went viral on Twitter and was quickly recognized by the news media. He is a Paul and Daisy Soros Fellow,[3] and a World Economic Forum Global Shaper.[4] The later reference being removed from Wikipedia on 5th December 2021.[5]
