The front page updates following its own frustratingly slow algorithm that only updates a few times during a week, at seemingly random intervals.

I don't think there is a particular standard as long as they are presentable, but it is nice if they have some 'deep' contents or focus.

Good question with the unsatisfactory answer that different editors have different standards:-) I would consider a lede, description and a few sentences as a minimum, but possibly less for pages with a lot of machine-cross-referenced content. Links to other pages of interest -- whether on this site or elsewhere -- are good, since this prevents readers from reaching a dead end. I concentrate on |description, since this field may appear on lots of other pages, but any simple metadata such as date/location for events, nationality/dates for people, are good, since this creates two way links, allows automatic listing of the page from elsewhere on the site. -- Robin (talk) 14:07, 14 July 2021 (UTC)

Constitutes

The "vaccine hesitancy" page is a good idea -- highlighting the language manipulation is important. Since the term itself is weaponised language, I added |so_called=1 to clarify this. So, like "terrorism", this a phrase not to use without quotes. The test I recommend for |constitutes is to ask whether it is correct to say "PAGENAME is CONSTITUTES". -- Robin (talk) 19:22, 14 August 2021 (UTC)

Hi there, hope you're doing fine. Categories

There's a technically superior alternative to categories. It's called Property:Constitutes, and it adds information to the SMW database. All the object templates allow |constitutes=election, which means that it will be (not always immediately) listed at that page, i.e. election. Loudon County

Hi there, I've moved the Controversy in Loudon County for a few reasons to Virginia

1. The article starts off by saying that controversy started in the county from 2020, but... there is always controversy in any county in the US. A lot of things happened before 2020.

2. One rape with a DA financed partly by Soros is not a third rail topic. First of all, it was in the news, locally and nationally. A rape needs to have a deep political insight, otherwise, it it better fitted to the location, the person of interest that may be interesting to our readers or the circumstances or just the rape page. 1000s of people get raped, multiple CIA officers, ICE agents and police officers get convicted. That doesn't cut it.

3. Soros spends $40 million to elect DAs throughtout the US, often left, that not see less crime rates (softly said), that would be an angle. 4. The article has not been updated with the fact the DA was removed and lost her donors. So... now, the article doesn't have any deep political insight? The Daily Wire reported the story with the narrative of the "progressive" elected county prosecutor who ran on a platform of ending "mass incarceration," but yet she sought jail time for disorderly conduct and resisting arrest, both misdemeanor charges, against Scott Smith. That angle would fit this site. Or could have included her as deep state lawyer, stretching it, but ok. (future wanted page).

5. FOX News angle was that this was a personal thing between the DA and the father of the rape victim, and repeats the angle that the Daily wire took that she is aiding crime by not doing anything. Just go with that would be my guess. So I'd added your text to Virgina, removed your article and added that piece of info to the Virginia and Soros, and TDW page. As per Wikispooks policy I'm required to do so, but as I like your work I took more time to explain it here so lengthy. Jun (talk) 09:51, 8 August 2023 (UTC)

Third Rail topics

Third tail topic are topics (not opinions) that are never discussed in any public or academic debate, so if you see a subject discussed on the mainstream media, it is de facto not a TRT, that includes FOX news. Good examples of important deep events that are not ever mentioned in the media are "Operation 40, Main Core or the claims of Sibel Edmonds (not 9-11, but the CIA and Gladio B corruption) as she got a gag order, the Spycatcher-claims, Willem Matser (whose picture I found in a digitally stored archive of a secured database only for the article to disappear 1 week later, which.. is strange for a basically the Doug Stamper* of the NATO General) etc. Topics can also late become a TRT; The origins of COVID have not been discussed anymore since Europe and the US opened up, Blaine Gibson's claims that the Maldives government were assassinating his friends on the island and sealed any investigation of the MH370 away for "national security", Nicole Junkermann's links to Epstein never discussed, and Wikipedia wiping her entry completely.
