Robert Zadrazil is an Austrian banker who attended the 2024 Bilderberg meeting as Country Manager Austria for the Italian multinational UniCredit Group, which he was appointed to in April 2024.[1]

Education

He studied at the Vienna University of Economics and Business.

Career

He started his career at Bank Austria in 2001, where he worked in various management positions: amongst others on the Management Board as COO, Global Banking Services (2006-2009), CEO of the subsidiary Schoellerbank (2009-2012) and member of the Management Board with responsibility for the Private Banking division (2011-2016). In addition, he was responsible for all Global Banking Services activities at UniCredit branch offices in Central and Eastern Europe (2007-2009).[2]

On May 1, 2024, he became Unicredit CEO for Austria.[3][4]

Covid as an opportunity

Commenting at an online press conference on 24 September 2021 to launch the new GoGreen account, CEO of UniCredit Bank Austria Robert Zadrazil, said: "The Covid-19 crisis has shown we now have the unique opportunity to join forces and transform the Austrian economy into a sustainable, low-carbon system. The banking industry must be part of the solution and can act as a key part of this process by financing investments related to climate protection. Leveraging on this will help us generate an effect far greater than in any other industry."[5]
