William F. Schnitzler was Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL–CIO for 17 years.[1]

Career

George Meany appointed Schnitzler as AFL–CIO/Secretary-Treasurer in 1952. At the time of his death he was an adviser to the chairman of the Board of the Union Labor Life Insurance Company in New York City. [1]
