The National Institutes of Health (NIH) is the primary agency of the United States government responsible for biomedical and public health research. Call for censorship
In November 2021, NIH Director Francis Collins stated the country had "an epidemic of misinformation and disinformation. And it’s fueling a dangerous distrust in science." He suggested 2 solutions:
- The first: Identify those who are purposefully spreading false information online and bring them to justice.
- The second: Find a better way to counter false claims with real information. He didn’t specify what exactly either one would entail.[2]
