Boris Reitschuster is a German journalist and considered a Russia expert. He was the Moscow bureau chief for Focus from 1999 until August 2015 and is the author of two best-selling books about Vladimir Putins rule in Russia.[1] He was invited to work with the German cluster of the Integrity Initiative

Till the Covid pandemic he was celebrated for his realist/critical stand on Russia and the rule of Vladimir Putin; when he became critical of the official narrative on the pandemic he gradually fell from grace, was excluded from the Bundespressekonferenz (BPK / German for "Federal Press Conference"),[2] became the target of hit pieces and and judicial warning letters,[3] had bank accounts cancelled,[4] his PayPal cancelled,[5] at on point state authority started to search for him - asking his former janitor on his whereabouts (basically starting to criminalize him).[6][7] He relocated to Croatia.[8]

His blog, according to Wikipedia, is among the most shared alternative media spreading "misinformation" about the COVID-19 pandemic in Germany.[9]
