Idar Kreutzer is a Norwegian business executive. He attened the 2007 Bilderberg meeting. He is also a member of the Trilateral Commission.[1]

Education

He has a degree in civil economics from the Norwegian School of Economics.

Early Career

He was politically active in the Young Conservatives in the 1980s[2], city council secretary for city councilor Michael Tetzschner in Oslo 1986–1987[3] and general manager of Medinor Prosjekt AS 1988–1991.

Later Career

In 1992, he was employed by Storebrand, where he has been managing director of Storebrand Life Insurance, executive director 1995–2000 and CEO since 2000. From 1 June 2012, he is managing director of the financial business organization Finans Norge.[4]

In June 2018, Kreutzer handed over the financial industry's road map for green competitiveness to the Minister for Climate and the Environment. From June 2015 to October 2016, he chaired the government's expert committee for green competitiveness, and he is a member of the Minister for Climate and the Environment's climate council. In 2013, he was elected as a member of the Strategy Council for the massive the Government Pension Fund. From 2001 to 2012, he was a council member in WBCSD, and was Co-Chair for the Vision 2050 project.
