Francesco Cingano was an Italian banker and Chairman of Banca Commerciale Italiana.[1][2]

He graduated in law, he entered the Banca Commerciale Italiana in 1946, of which he was CEO (from 1967) and then president (1987-88).[3]

He was appointed cavaliere del lavoro (1983), president of Mediobanca (1988) and vice president of Assicurazioni Generali (in 1990),

He published essays on economic policy in newspapers and magazines, including The specific improper charges to which the banking system is subjected.
