Gerhard Wisnewski is a German journalist, writer, film author and "conspiracy theorist". His work dealt with state terrorism blamed on the Red Army Faction (RAF), 9/11 and the moon landings of the 60s. After his 911 documentary was aired by a public broadcaster in Germany, it was requested for distribution in Europe and possibly worldwide, at which point an allegations of inaccuracy were leveled against him by assets positioned in Spiegel.

He was active as a journalist during his school years before graduating. After graduating from high school in 1979, he worked for the Frankfurter Nachrichten, Blitz-Tip, Frankfurter Neue Presse and Bild-Zeitung. From 1981 to 1990, he studied political science in Munich. He simultaneously worked for various Munich newspapers (AZ, tz, Münchner Stadtzeitung, Stern-München, P.M. Magazin). He has been a full-time freelance journalist, writer and film author since 1986. His main topics were science, technology, history and politics.
Work
Wisnewski became wider recognition for his book on the Red Army Faction.[1] In 2000, the television film "Das Phantom" (Eng.: The Phantom) based on his book, received the Grimme Prize.[2] He argues that the attacks of 1985 to 1991 were not carried out by the RAF, but instead intelligence services have taken over the name for cover, among them the notable assassination of Alfred Herrhausen.

He became controversial when his documentary about 9/11, with a focus on the Flight 93 crash in Shanksville,[3] did contradict the official narrative about 9/11. The Spiegel and other critics accused Wisnewski of manipulating statements made by Ernie Stull in his book and film to support his thesis. The Westdeutscher Rundfunk terminated the cooperation with him and his co-author Willy Brunner. Wisnewski insisted on the correctness of his research.[4]
9/11 File Unsolved
Wisnewski and his co producer Willy Brunner interviewed people that saw the crash site that day.[5][6] These people related that there was a "hole in the ground" but no sign of any wreckage - translated back from German:[7]

And the fire department came. Everyone was puzzled, because the call had been that a plane had crashed. But there was no plane!

- 10.03.25.00 - No. Nothing . Only this hole.
- 10.03.30.10 - The actual crash site is a hundred yards from the memorial and is enclosed by a high chain-link fence. Ernie Stull's friends were the first independent witnesses, who actually saw the crash in front of their eyes.

- 10.05.46.00 - [photos of the crash site at the time] Long before the first reporters arrived, the crash site area was closed off - a large area. The reporters could only see at a distance what must have been the most unusual crash site of flight history. No burnt wreckage, no burnt bodies, nothing. Just a hole, into which a huge Boeing 757 and its passengers disappeared. How is that possible? There were unwanted critical questions at the subsequent Press conference.
