The Comoros is an island nation in the Indian Ocean, at the northern end of the Mozambique Channel. They have the worst income inequality of any nation on earth.

History

Independence from France in 1975.

Since independence from France, the Comoros experienced more than 20 coups or attempted coups.[1]

Invaded by the African Union in 2008.[2]

Politics

Member of the African Union, Organisation internationale de la Francophonie, United Nations and the Arab League.
