Baron Jules Guillaume was a Belgian diplomat and Secretary for the King.
Overview
Jules came from a family of Belgian nobles and diplomats. He is grandson of Henri Guillaume. In 1933, he married Élisabeth Wittouck (1903-1978), daughter of Frantz Wittouck.
He was part of the Belgian delegation to the negotiations of the Treaty of Versailles.
He held numerous diplomatic posts, notably in Beijing, London and Paris, and played a major role in the reorganization of King Baudouin's cabinet.
He is the father of Philippe, Cécile, Alain and Béatrice Guillaume.
