Too many sections
This article is coming on well, but it now has dauntingly many top level sections -- about 7-8 is ideal, including the machine-generated ones. Just as a fairly standard format has emerged for people, so the articles on deep states seem to be gradually evolving a standard set of section headings, which should improve readability and coherence of the site as a whole. So this is an open invitation to demote some headings into sub-headings, to try to do that. -- Robin (talk) 15:22, 13 January 2021 (UTC)

Keeping pages below 50k is recommended, since long pages are off-putting and harder to edit than smaller ones. This is not to say that the topic should only have 50k of information; the limit is per page, so the recommended policy is to make subpages (see, for example the 9-11 or Bilderberg pages for some of the options.
