Jan Tonny Warmenhoven was Dutch Ambassador in Belgium 1993-96, the last three years in his more than three decades diplomatic career. Before Warmenhoven came to Brussels, he was ambassador to Algeria (1986-89)[1] and Turkey.

In 1973, Warmenhoven was private secretary of Dutch royal Prince Claus.[2]. He is also mentioned as private secretary to then Princess Beatrix and Prince Claus.[3]
