William Schnitzler was Secretary-Treasurer of the AFL–CIO for 17 years.[1]

Career

George Meany appointed Schnitzler as AFL–CIO/Secretary-Treasurer in 1952. At the time of his death he was serving as an adviser to the chairman of the Board of the Union Labor Life Insurance Company in New York City. [1]
