Sebastian Shemirani is the son of Kate Shemirani. He holds completely different opinions than his mother and believes any bigger conspiracy can not exist. His bad relationship with his mother was given broad coverage in a 2020 hit piece by the BBC.

Background

Kate Shemirani is a former nurse who came to prominence as a Covid dissenter in 2020. She has among other things said that coronavirus is a hoax, and the Covid jabs is a "political tool to gain access to and change people's DNA".

According to the BBC, despite his conspiracy family, "Sebastian got good grades and ended up going to a private boarding school," and was at the time studying at the London School of Economics. He later became a banking intern with JP Morgan.

BBC Interview

Sebastian was interviewed about his views and relationship to his mother by the BBC's "specialist disinformation reporter" Marianna Spring. The interview was broadly disseminated by other corporate media outlets.

Speaking about his childhood, Sebastian - who left home at 17 - described it as 'hell', revealing he was frequently exposed to conspiracy theories. He had a breakdown of the relationship with his mother over her views, especially over she warning him not to take the Covid jab. In the interview, he said "I'm never going to have a relationship with my mum again".

In the October 2020 interview, Sebastian "felt a duty to speak out, for the sake of public health, and for others whose loved ones may be going down a similar path."

Using an ad homiem tactic, the BBC published him saying that "She's someone with a massive amount of self-interest and loves being the centre of attention." Also ad hominem against her supporters, the BBC published that Sebastian said "he was shocked to see people with far-right views among his mother's followers - and claimed they wouldn't listen to her if they realised all of her children are mixed race."

Prosecution request

In June 2021, Sebastian called for his mother "prosecuted under existing laws" for her comments. "Or if there are not laws in place that say what she is doing is illegal, we should be having a national conversation about what laws we should be bringing in and drafting up legislation for that".

In September 2021, he tweeted that "Today I learned that a childhood friend of mine, WHO MY MUM USED TO DRIVE TO SCHOOL with me, has died of Covid complications while working as a junior doctor.". He did not elaborate on her vaccination status.
