One commentator, noting his suggesting that the jury had been “spoon fed” the evidence in the MLK civil trial, which exposed the assassination of MLK, termed Posner an "epic prostitute". [1]

Posner has written for many national publications, including The New York Times, The New Yorker, Time Magazine, Newsweek, The Wall Street Journal, and U.S. News & World Report.

- 1993 - Case Closed, on the JFK assassination, which argues that Lee Harvey Oswald carried out the killing unaided.
- 1998 - Killing the Dream, on the MLK Assassination, which concludes that "that there was a conspiracy, but on a very low level. Someone, I'd guess part of a racist group, probably agreed to pay him maybe $25,000 or $50,000."[2]
