Michael Thomas Flynn is a retired United States Army lieutenant general who was briefly 24th U.S. national security advisor in the first Trump administration. He has been relatively outspoken since August 2014 when he left his job as Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency.[1] Flynn has co-authored the book The Field of Fight (2016) with neocon Michael Ledeen,[2] in which it is argued that "radical Islam" is the primary (even existential) danger to the United States, with ISIS and Iran (through Hezbollah) being the most important adversaries (among others)[3] and that it requires mobilizing all national power under the command of a single leader accountable to the president.[4]

Admission about ISIS
In 2015, he admitted in an Al Jazeera interview that the rise of ISIS was a "willful decision" of the US government[5][6], which tallies with declassified DIA documents.[7] This would make sense if ISIS were an Operation Gladio/B operation of which he was not aware.

In September 2015, Flynn said President Obama should “immediately suspend” Hillary Clinton’s security clearance, because she ran a private, unprotected email server from her New York home.[8]

In May 2016, Mike Flynn emerged as one of several leading possibilities to be the vice presidential running mate for Republican nominee Donald Trump.[9][10] Flynn was not chosen as Trump's running mate; the vice presidential pick was ultimately Governor of Indiana Mike Pence.[11] At the 2016 Republican National Convention in Cleveland, Ohio, Flynn delivered what the New York Times called a "fiery speech", addressing US leadership and American exceptionalism.[12] He was appointed national security advisor, but was forced out after 22 days.[13]
Overpopulation
In December 2001 his son Matthew "Matt" Flynn started a non-profit organization in Florida, OPERATION POPULATION CONTROL, INC. "The specific purpose of the corporation is to educate the public on the threat of overpopulation and the consequences thereof, in hopes of altering views and values that have a direct affect on population".[14][15][16]
