Lawrence Lindsey is an American economist. He was fired after suggesting that the Iraq War could cost as much as $200 billion, in contrast to Donald Rumsfeld's preferred figure of $50 billion.[1] In fact, both numbers are underestimates by more than an order of magnitude - the total cost of the war is measured in trillions of US dollars.
