Laura Kam is Senior Advisor with The Israel Project and heads its European and Iranian projects. She formerly worked for the Anti-Defamation League. (She is not to be confused with Laura M. Role and background

According to the Israel Project she 'meets regularly with top politicians, diplomats and think-tanks across Europe, the United Kingdom, Israel and the United States.' She is said to be 'a dynamic speaker and innovator', who 'manages the delivery of information in six languages to 76,000 journalists and opinion-makers across the globe' and 'arranges high profile media events and tours throughout Europe'.[2]

Prior to joining TIP, Kam reportedly 'worked for the Anti-Defamation League for 17 years, including as co-director of the ADL's Israel office,' and 'was responsible for all areas of media relations for the League's Jerusalem office'. She was also 'responsible for organizing missions that brought key U.S. and state legislators, law enforcement officials, journalists and others to Israel.'[3]

Kam previously 'worked as a press officer at the Israeli Consulate in New York.'[4]

Education

  • B.A. from the State University of New York at Stony Brook,
  • M.A. in Social Work (Community Organization) from Yeshiva University's Wurzweiler School of Social Work,
  • has completed all course work towards a doctorate in Social Welfare Administration from the Hunter College School of Social Work.[5]
