UK YouTuber who in 2020/2021 was promoting fear of Covid and strict adherence to COVID policies, including COVID injections.

John Lorimer Campbell is an English YouTuber and retired nurse educator.[1] His Youtube channel grew greatly in subscribers in 2020-2021 when he was promoting fear of COVID and recommending Covid jabs.

COVID-19

Early in 2020, Campbell's YouTube channel started to focus on the developing COVID-19 pandemic. Until then, his videos had been receiving an average of several thousand views each, but his channel began to receive significant traffic after it started running COVID-related videos.

Rise in viewership

Between February and March 2020, his channel increased from an average of 500,000 views per month to 9.6 million, mostly from American viewers. By September 2020, his videos had been viewed more than 50 million times. Four years later, his channel had 3 million subscribers and over 750 million views. He was recommending strict adherence to the protocols.[citation needed]

Later dissidence

In a March 2025 appearance on The Crispin Flintoff Show Campbell argued that the UK's excess deaths figure in 2020 should have returned to normal after 2022, had those deaths been solely COVID-related.

Instead he reports that the excess deaths figure remains roughly at the same high level, which implies, he said, that the mRNA vaccines are more likely to blame.
