Gerhard Martin Harry Wendt was a Finnish engineer and manager. He attended the 1994 Bilderberg meeting as CEO of Kone, a company owned by the Herlin family, Finland's richest, and where several CEOs have attended Bilderberg conferences.

Career

After completing his studies, Wendt conducted research at Wisconsin University in the United States in 1963-64 and was an assistant professor at Western Michigan University in 1964-65. Returning to Finland, Wendt was production manager at Fiskars in 1965-66, product development manager at Rosenlew in 1966-67 and factory manager there in 1967-70. He joined Kone Oy in 1970 and advanced to board member in 1979 and was CEO from 1989-94.[1]Cite error: Closing </ref> missing for <ref> tag Wendt sat on the board of Technology Group Kyro when the company bought its own shares in the autumn of 2001. Prosecutors believe Gerhard Wendt, a seasoned business professional, illegally advised his wife on two separate stock transactions in 2001.[2] The charges were dismissed in 2007.[3]
