Clacton is a UK parliamentary constituency on the East coast of England which, since 2017, is represented by Giles Watling MP of the Conservative Party.

Clacton constituency comprises a number of seaside resorts along the Tendring peninsula, including Clacton-on-Sea, Frinton-on-Sea and Walton-on-the-Naze.

History

Douglas Carswell previously represented the seat from 2005 to 2017 as, successively, a Tory, UKIP and Independent MP.

Giles Watling was elected for the Conservatives in 2017.

Coverage of the 2017 General Election hustings for the Clacton Constituency was recorded at All Saints Church in Walton on the Naze on 6 June 2017.[2]
