Mujahid Kamran is a Pakistani theoretical physicist and a former vice-chancellor of the University of the Punjab in Lahore, Pakistan.[1] He is a professor of Physics[2] and was previously the chairman of the Physics Department at the University of the Punjab[3].

Kamran joined the University of the Punjab as a lecturer in 1972 and became an assistant professor in 1982, associate professor in 1986, and professor in 1988.[3] He is a former Fulbright Fellow[3] at the University of Georgia from 1988–89.

From 2004–2007, he served as the dean of the Faculty of Sciences at the same institution.[3] In January 2008, he was appointed as vice-chancellor of the Punjab University[3]

When he was Vice Chancellor, he wrote several articles and books on subjects such as 9/11, Afghanistan the CIA and drugs, and the geopolitics of the region[4]. His book The Grand Deception – Corporate America and Perpetual War (ISBN 9693524063) was published by Sang e Meel Publications, Lahore, Pakistan in April 2011. At the book launch, he stated that only with mutual collaboration of American public, mankind can be rescued from a cabal of banking families who are actually controlling the US and the British governments cabal of banking families who are actually controlling the US and the British governments.[5]

He was removed from the office of Vice Chancellor on the order of the Lahore Court division bench on Monday 19 December 2016, for "corruption, illegal appointments and nepotism".[6]
