The process whereby the character of a poor urban area is changed by wealthier people moving in displacing current inhabitants in the process.

Gentrification is the process of changing the character of a neighborhood through the influx of more affluent residents and businesses. It is a common and controversial topic in urban politics and planning. Gentrification often results in demographic displacement.

Gentrification is an alienation and displacement tactic encouraged by the WEF's Agenda 2030, i.e corporatism or so called "Public-Private_Partnerships".
