Pertti Voutilainen is a Finnish mining consultant and business leader.[1]
Career
His career began at the Kotalahti mine in 1964, from where he moved to Outokumpu's head office in 1966 and worked in the mining technology group until 1970. From 1971, Voutilainen worked in production and business planning at the head office. In 1977, he was appointed Senior Vice President, Mining and Development, and in 1978 a member of Outokumpu's Executive Board. Outokumpu's was President and CEO from 1980 to 1991.
Then h was the last President and CEO of the bank Kansallis-Osake-Pankki and the first President and CEO of Merita Bank until 30 June 2000. He was succeeded by Kari Jordan. In 2002, Merita merged with the Swedish Nordbanken, after which the bank was renamed Nordea.
Voutilainen was on the board of Agnico Eagle Mines, a Canadian mining company, since 2005.
