Wayne Lee Berman is an American businessman and lobbyist. He currently works for the Blackstone Group.[1] He was formerly the chairman of Ogilvy Government Relations, a division of Ogilvy & Mather.[2] Berman has been termed a key figure in Republican political advocacy who served as a senior advisor on the 2000 and 2004 Bush-Cheney campaigns.
Career
He was a trustee of the Library of Congress in the 1990s.[3]
Family
Berman is married to Lea Berman, who was the Social Secretary and Special Assistant to the President under George W. Bush and prior to that, served as Chief of Staff for Dick Cheney's wife, Lynne Cheney.[4]
Deep political Connections
Berman was a close friend of John McCain and a supporter during his 2008 presidential campaign.[5] Berman was named as an attendee of Le Cercle by Adrian Hanni.[3]
