With a population of 498,715 living within the city limits, it is the eighth most populous city in the Southeast and 38th most populous city in the United States according to the 2020 U.S. census.[1]
Government Infiltrators

Former City of Atlanta Director of Human Services, Mitzi L. Bickers, was been sentenced to 14 years in prison for accepting approximately $3 million in bribe money to influence government contracts in 2022. She was accused of skilful money laundering, lying to the City of Atlanta to maintain her salary and cabinet-level position, and failing to disclose more than $600,000 in income on her federal tax return, once again proving the IRS are the ones one should not mess with.[5]
